TSK launches one of the largest solar plants in the world

The plant has 260 MWp power and the energy produced would be equivalent to that consumed by 50,000 households
Today, Monday 20th March, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attended the inauguration in Dubai (UAE) of the second phase of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar park, the largest solar power plant in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world.
Also attending the event were Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Mohamed Abunaiyan, President of ACWA POWER and Mr. José Eugenio Salarich, Spanish ambassador to the UAE, as well as other senior officials from Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
With 260 MWp of power, the plant occupies a surface area of 440 Hectares (approximately 700 football fields). It will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of more than 470,000 tons of CO2 per year and will supply energy to meet the demand of 50,000 homes.
TSK has become one of the companies with most experience in solar projects, both thermosolar and photovoltaic, having participated in the construction of more than 1,500 MW with plants in countries such as Dubai, Kuwait, Jordan, Mexico, Honduras, Brazil, France, Spain , Puerto Rico, USA, Romania and El Salvador.
