Through its subsidiary PHB Weserhütte, TSK has been awarded 4 contracts: 3 in Oman and one in Spain.

These awards amount to more than 30 million euros and place the portfolio of PHB Weserhütte at 130 million euros. PHB Weserhütte had sales of 80 million euros in 2018 and employs about 100 people.

The Qatari company QPMC (Qatar Primary Materials Company) has obtained permission to operate a Gabbro quarry in Khatmat Malaha, Oman. This material is of igneous origin and is used in civil construction. QPMC aims to export Qatar Gabbro for the development of the necessary infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup. They plan to have a production of up to 7 MTPA.

The Al Sahar J.V. company, in which the Spanish construction company COPASA has a stake, will be responsible for carrying out the whole work and the exploitation of the quarry for 2 years. The JV has awarded PHB Weserhütte the contract for the execution of the materials handling system, i.e. an automated maritime terminal for the export of this material.

The scope of supply includes design, manufacture, transportation and assembly of a truck unloading system, 4 km of transport and loading on to ships and barges. Two different loaders will be supplied, the first of which will operate at 1,000 t/h to load barges of 12,000 DWT, while the second will work at 2,000 t/ h to load ships of 35,000 DWT. This means that the total capacity of the system as a whole is 3,000 t/h.

Similarly, the Joint Venture between the companies Petrofac and Samsung Engineering has awarded PHB Weserhütte two contracts for the handling of petroleum coke and sulfur within the complex of the Duqm refinery in Oman. The scope of the first contract consists of the transportation of said materials from the processing area to loading in trucks. The second contract consists of the supply of a gantry reclaimer for the automatic receipt and storage of the coke inside a warehouse.

In this way PHB Weserhütte strengthens its presence in the Middle East with another contract in the Oil & Gas sector, where it has already carried out more than 10 terminals in the area.

Additionally, the French company Eiffage has awarded PHB Weserhütte a handling facility for a new terminal located on pier 17 of the port of Alicante. The scope includes the design, manufacture, supply, assembly and commissioning of a fully automated installation for unloading trucks, transport, storage and loading to ships. The materials handled will be clinker, limestone, gypsum and dolomite, with a forecast traffic of 1.5 million tons per year.

Given that the port of Alicante is located very close to the city, this installation must meet very restrictive parameters in relation to dust emissions into the atmosphere.
