On the 13th, 14th and 15th of June, a new edition of GENERA, the major Energy and Environment International Trade Fair, took place at IFEMA, the Madrid Trade Fair. Every year this event brings together professionals from different sectors related to renewable energy, energy efficiency and the environment, who present their latest innovations and products to visitors.

TSK participated in the fair in the “Innovation Gallery” area, the purpose of which is to support the work of innovative scientific and technological research carried out by companies and public bodies in the sector. In this Innovation Gallery, TSK was singled out for the publication of one of its R&D+i projects, the one titled “UAVINSPECTION – Study of a system for the automated remote management of industrial O&M tasks by means of the automatic generation of aerial missions”. This project, carried out by the Information Technologies division in collaboration with the Asturian SME LOCIS, aims to research the use of drones (also known as UAVs) for the execution of operation and maintenance tasks in photovoltaic plants. Its application is based on the automatic capture of aerial images and their integration into a technological platform for acquisition and processing of information. The project is currently in the piloting and validation phase.
